Leverage Information to Create a Thriving Design Practice

Through case studies and examples, you will discover how Project Lifecycle Information Management has dramatically improved efficiency and quality at Gallin Beeler Design Studio, a thriving design practice. The success of Product Lifecycle Information Management in the automotive industry is presented as a model for the design and construction industry. The presentation distinguishes BIM's per project data structure to a centralized structure where data is shared seamlessly across multiple projects. Participants consider how material, component, and system information is gathered, documented, refined, and reused. Finally, the presentation describes how to easily implement Project Lifecycle Information Management to be more profitable.

Project Lifecycle Information Management

Michael Gallin, AIA, is co-founder of Gallin Beeler Design Studio (GBds), a design centered architectural practice in Tarrytown, NY. Prior to establishing his own practice, Michael worked at Kohn Pedersen Fox in New York City. Michaels projects have received numerous AIA design awards. He received his degree from Carnegie Mellon University where he developed a passion for innovative solutions that combine design and technology. Seeing tremendous opportunity to improve efficiency within his practice, Gallin developed ADOSAR, a cloud based Project Information Management tool, which has been utilized with tremendous success on over 50 projects.
